As you know internet banking is a powerful service being provided by banks that enables users to do various tasks online. Lots of people who haven’t joined the Jan Suraksha Schemes (Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana(PMSBY), Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana(PMJJBY), and Atal Pension Yojana(APY)) are willing to know that how can they apply online to enroll into these Insurance and Pension schemes.
In this article, I am going to help you with the online procedure to be followed to get registered using the Internet Banking facility. I will be focusing on banks like State Bank of India(SBI), Punjab National Bank(PNB), ICICI, Kotak Bank, IndusInd, Canara, and others
General Steps for availing Online Facility to Enroll In Jan Suraksha Schemes using Internet Banking
As per the sources, the banks that are providing online facilities to Join the Suraksha Bima Yojana, Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, and Atal Pension Yojana are – State Bank Of India, Punjab National Bank(PNB), HDFC Bank, Kotak Bank, IndusInd bank & ICICI bank. However, you are strongly recommended to login into your Bank’s internet banking account for updates regarding online registration for Jan Suraksha Schemes. Here are general steps that should be followed –
Step 1 – Visit your Respective Bank’s Internet Banking Login Page
Step 2 – Once successfully logged in, look for the link that says – “Jan Suraksha Schemes” or “Social Security Schemes”
Step 3: Select the Name of the Scheme you want to join i.e. PMSBY/PMJJY/APY
Step 4 – Now Fill in the details in the online application form
Step 5- Enter the Nominee details carefully
Step 6 – Hit the Submit Button. If the process is done successfully, you will see a confirmation message on the screen
Note: – We don’t have complete details of every bank right now, however, we have successfully tested the online joining of the schemes using State Bank of India’s Internet Banking.

It is good news for SBI customers that the bank has introduced the online enrollment of Jan Suraksha Schemes using net banking. Just follow these steps :
- Login Into your SBI Internet Banking Account
- After logging in, you need to click on “Jan Suraksha Schemes” and select the Scheme you want to join
- After selecting the scheme, you will be asked to select your bank account number, and CIF number and you have to fill out the online application form
- After successful registration, you will see the confirmation message as well as a reference number
- The status of joining can be checked anytime using the “Status” Tab

Note – At the time of writing there is no option of Joining Atal Pension Yojana Online(In SBI Internet Banking)
